Lose 5 kilos in 2 weeks!

That's a dress size! Would you be happy to lose 5kgs in 2 weeks? Well, I've just done it. Let me tell you how.

Okay, first thing when you want to lose weight quickly is you have to commit to it and know WHY IT IS A MUST!

Second, enlist the help of someone to gee you along if you feel you need it. It could be a friend, partner or a coach. The power of more than 1 and the acountability can make all the difference.

Below I will outline exactly what I am doing to achieve this. My goal is 10kg in 3 months and a well toned body (for a man of my age :-)).

Here's what I did/am doing.

Stop eating Meat, Bread, Diary, Pasta, Sugar, Caffeine. Go for a natural diet - so nothing that has been pre-made. My only exceptions are Organic Oat and Pumpkin seed crackers with low-fat houmos and some quorn. No potatoes eaten with protein
Only water based foods and nuts before Midday. (fruits and veg)
Fruits and/or fruit juice taken only after exercise (they are full of sugar)
Swim for 40 minutes 3 times a week (I have set myself a challenge of swimming a mile freestyle, which I have never done before - the most has been 10 lengths. A mile is 64!)
Workout with weights covering all core muscles (squats, presses, lifts, dips, crunches) but add more if you have a special area you want to work on. Low weight/high reps (I do 5 x 20 of each) and a 20 min run or cycle afterwards, Do this at least twice a week

Run for 40 minutes twice a week

 

  Weight loss with hypnosis

I go for a power walk or light jog, followed by a good stretch every morning before breakfast as a matter of course. If it is a weights day I only do 20-25 mins. On the other days I do my 40 min run.

That's it. I have been on it 2 weeks and feel great. My tight jeans have already become loose. I have detoxed and am not tempted to eat pre-made food at all.

The other thing is I was surprised how quickly I improved. My first swim was 2 lengths and a few minutes rest and so on until I reached 10. I couldn't continue. My second swim, I got up to 12 lengths in 4 length groups with a few minutes inbetween. After that it was 18 lengths in groups of 6 with 1 or 2 lengths of freestyle at the start of each group. Then I did 22 and last session I did 32 lengths in two groups of 16. This is a half a mile and a real achievement for me. I just kept pushing myself. I can't wait to get to 64 lengths!
